Website for La Fontanella
Amidst the clamor and chaos that was 2009, I was fortunate enough to make some fabulous new friends and share memories with the usual suspects. I became an aunt once over and a bride for the second time (to the same guy, of course). I watched my sister address hundreds of people on the lawn [...]
Tweet-a-leet-a-leet
Just linked Adesinamedia to Twitter so that you can forcibly get the short of the long of it. For a good time, call…*cough* I mean, you can follow me at http://twitter.com/adesinamedia. Actually, for a good time, sign up for the National Walk MS in Reston, VA on April 11, 2010. MS is BS is truly [...]
Vintage Flora
Had a little fun with Photoshop taking these shots from my garden and making them look like they were fading under the test of time. Enjoy, and feel free to pick up a copy of any that you like on Red Bubble – 100% of the proceeds go to the National MS Society.
Garden Macros
In putting together shots to sell on Red Bubble for the National MS Society, I ended up finding several shots of flowers grown in my gardens in Virginia (and two from the National Arboretum).
Funny Jokes, Funny Jokes
In rummaging through the stores of goodness she’s kept on her hard drive, your host came across a veritable treasure trove of sweet designs from back in the day. Or as her sister has put it, evidence that we’ve always been hilarious.
Encouragement Club
Back in the day (when things were cool…for the Erykah Badu fans out there) when my sister was in high school at O’Connell and I was schooling it up at Fordham, she approached me about putting together a site for a new club that she was forming at her school. The Encouragement Club was going [...]
Drip Drop
For the past few months, every waking moment of free time that I’ve had has been handed over to the lovely folks of NOVASTARTALK. The STARTALK project is a federally-funded initiative that strives to increase the number of people speaking critical-need langauges (such as Chinese and Arabic). For the past three years, a team at [...]
Wedding Goodness
The joy of getting married multiple times (to the same person, of course) is that you have tons of opportunities to design the goods needed to notify the world of the nuptials. Here are tastes from two of my three ceremonies, the Central Park Wedding (aka the Homeless Jamboree) and the Phoenix Wedding (aka The [...]
4TV Media Card Action
Just polished off the new logo and business cards for 4TV Media (formerly known as 4TV Productions). Can’t wait to start working on the website design. It’ll be as vicious as the glowing TV in Poltergeist, though not nearly as horrifying.
Revamped Hokum
Recently took a crack at a redesign of the old (and supposedly much-loved) design for Hokum Blues. The verdict is still out. I really love them both, piratical theme and all. Then again, I always considered the music to be such a treasure.
Design Underway
If the doozers were around, they’d be proud of the new construction going on here at Adesina Media, moving away from the formerly half-baked trash heap design. Although I can’t say I’d be pleased if a Fraggle came by and started eating my website. Too many 80′s childhood references in one place?
“The Time Has Come,” the walrus said…
…to update Adesina Media. And update I shall. Stay tuned, but in the meantime, here’s a little photographic joy.
Face Painting
I’ve been toying with brushes, masks and blending modes with my merges lately. Granted, I’m always using the three, but not usually so heavily and to such an artistic effect. My older merges were less reliant on the computer (and deliberately so) – I was trying to mimic the analog process as closely as possible [...]
14: The Spooky Tunnel Legacy
It’s no secret that I have an ongoing photographic love affair with the Dale Carlia Tunnel, better known to me and my compatriots (read: Mom) as “The Spooky Tunnel” An abandoned railway bed on the border of DC and Maryland, the tunnel is a popular jogging and bike path on the Capitol Crescent Trail. It [...]
The Latest (Not So) Corporate Mergers
Thought I would ring in the fast-approaching New Year with some of my latest merges. The glassy, bubbly shots are merges pulled from photos shot at the Dale Chihuly exhibit at the NY Botantical Gardens in 2006. It was my first Fall in NYC after moving back, and my first time since graduating that I [...]
